John Harrington, MA, CEO

John Harrington John Harrington is President of Harrington Investments, Inc., a socially responsible investment firm located in Napa CA.  He is a manager of HLM, LLC, the managing member of Community Commercial Ventures, LLC, a San Francisco Bay Area commercial property limited liability company. John is the former President and Chairman of the Board of Working Assets Management Company. He is also the former Chairman of the Board of Progressive Asset Management, a full-service brokerage firm specializing in socially responsible investing and the former managing member of Global Partners, LLC, a ten-year social venture fund. John is the author of Investing With Your Conscience: How to Achieve High Returns Using Socially Responsible Investing (John Wiley & Sons, 1992) and The Challenge to Power: Money, Investing and Democracy (Chelsea Green Publishing, 2005).

Andrew Comstock, CFA, President

andrew_hayes Andrew is the President at Castlebar Asset Management and performs targeted research for our clients. He began his career as a portfolio manager and analyst for an institutional investment group in Europe owned by the HVB Group from Germany. Andrew managed the Activest Global Convertible Bond Fund as well as assets for pension funds and insurance companies. Since 2004 his focus has been translating the investment analysis used for institutional investment management and providing the same level of service to individual clients. Andrew has experience managing equity socially responsible equity portfolios with US and international assets. He graduated from the University of Tulsa with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and is a CFA Charterholder.

Forrest Hill, PhD

Forrest Hill Forrest Hill joined Harrington Investments, Inc. in 2007 specializing in creating custom portfolios focused on sustainable investments for individual and institutional investors. He previously worked as a financial advisor for Progressive Asset Management, a socially responsible investment firm. Forrest has a PhD in Marine Biology and has spent several years as an environmental consultant on endangered species issues. He has also worked as a science advisor for several government and tribal agencies. Forrest is a former board member of Share First Oakland, a non-profit corporation that distributes healthy food to vulnerable populations in Oakland.
